Our Mission: To build self-sufficiency and prevent homelessness and hunger in our community by providing emergency assistance and enrichment programs.

Our Mission:  The Drake House provides crisis and supportive housing programs for homeless single mothers and their children in North Metro Atlanta. Our educational, empowerment, and mentoring programs assist families in becoming financially self-sufficient and contributing members of the community.
Our Vision: The Drake House envisions a community where every family has the opportunity to recover quickly and with dignity from their homeless situation.
We provide housing and food programs, children and teen programming, mentoring support, personal empowerment planning, weekly life-skills workshops as well as career services.

Our Mission
Family Promise of North Fulton/DeKalb’s mission is to engage community and faith-based organizations in ending homelessness -- one family at a time. We provide temporary housing, hospitality, case management and education for families seeking safe shelter, permitting them to continue parenting their children while facing homelessness. We predominantly serve families who are experiencing situational homelessness or those at imminent risk for homelessness. It could happen to any of us encountering a shocking change in circumstances, be it personal injury or illness, divorce, job layoff, a special needs child, fleeing an abusive relationship or other catastrophic event(s)

habitat for humanity-north central georgia is a 501(c)3, christian housing ministry and is an independently run and operated affiliate of habitat for humanity international covering north metro atlanta. habitat for humanity international was founded by millard and linda fuller in 1976 in americus, ga shortly after they returned from building homes in africa. since its founding, habitat for humanity has built over 1,000,000 homes around the world.
as the increasing need for affordable housing appeared in the north fulton area, a group of people banded together to come up with a solution for this problem. the first meeting of habitat for humanity-north fulton took place at the roswell united methodist church in may of 1992. with the help of habitat for humanity atlanta and its skilled house leaders, the north fulton group finished its first house on thomas drive on june 12, 1993. two years later, the long road to affiliation led to the successful incorporation of habitat for humanity-north fulton, inc. in march 1995.

Since 1993, HomeStretch has been guiding working homeless families toward increased self-reliance and stability.  Our mission is to provide supportive housing and programs that equip working families to regain and sustain permanent housing.

The need for affordable housing has grown since it was identified in 1991 as a gap in the services by North Fulton Community Charities.  In 1993, HomeStretch was founded to address the fundamental issues contributing to family homelessness in the greater north metro Atlanta area and to assist rent burdened families facing housing crises.
The need for HomeStretch services has also grown. Today, the poverty rate in Georgia tops 18% and is even higher for single mothers.  Over 26% of our children live in poverty.  Single parents, earning minimum wage, are forced to spend more than 30% of their income for housing leaving very little for food, clothing, utilities, transportation, child care and medical care.  One unexpected expense will be devastating.
