About Us

Home Town Mortgage was started in 1996, right in the heart of Alpharetta, GA. Even though that was less than 30 years ago, we are now Alpharetta’s oldest mortgage company!

From 2001-2006, HTM consistently ranked at or near the top of the list of the highest performing mortgage brokerages in the state of Georgia. During that time, Steve was honored to serve as the President of the Georgia Mortgage Brokers Association. Everything was humming along just fine until 2008-2009 when the Great Recession caused HTM to transition from a company with 25-30 employees to a significantly leaner operation. The days of growing a big business were over. In 2010, Steve decided to run the business entirely on his own in order to weather the economic storm and focus on personalized customer service. And he did just that – selling his signature location on Haynes Bridge Road (the white house with the red door) and moving home.

In 2018, Steve made Home Town Mortgage a true family business for the very first time. Since then, it has grown from two employees to a team of eight – still making personalized customer service our top priority.
